Even long before I thought of watching this anime, I came across pictures and fan-art of D.Gray-Man. It is, after all, a pretty popular series; no one can deny that. On the one hand I think that its popularity is completely justified, but on the other hand the series let me down a number of times as well. Generally speaking, though, I enjoyed this series. Imagine you wake up in Washington, with no clothes, but you do possess a gun and a cellphone. You don’t remember who you are, where you came from and what happened before that moment. What will you do? Akira knows the answer to that: ask a random guy for his pants and after that, find out about your past! Read the rest of this entry »

I know you are thinking by now, “gosh, here she goes again, mentioning Ano Hana”. But I can’t help it, because in this category as well, favourite anime opening theme song, I have to admit that Ano Hana’s opening was the best I’ve seen and heard so far. An honourable mention, though, must be give to Romeo x Juliet, because I immensely enjoyed the opening theme of this anime as well, both the visuals and the song. Read the rest of this entry »

There are quite a lot of anime villains that I like. Well, maybe “like” is not the most adequate word; perhaps it’s better to say that there are a lot of anime villains that are portrayed in an interesting way. The villain that I think is the most interesting is Darcia from Wolf’s Rain.

SPOILER WARNING: this blog post may contain spoilers of Wolf’s Rain. You have been warned. Read the rest of this entry »

I immediately thought of Natsume Yuujinchou when reading today’s anime challenge, and I know, I’ve been talking a lot about this anime in this challenge, but I can’t help that I like so many aspects about it! Maybe Natsume Yuujinchou is not a shoujo anime in the strict sense of the word, but I definitely think that this anime is aimed more at girls than at boys. Read the rest of this entry »

I haven’t seen that many mecha series (now that I think about it, Persona Trinity Soul and Code Geass are the only ones I’ve seen so far… I once tried Gundam Mobile Suit 00, but that one is still on-hold for the moment). And if I have to choose between Persona Trinity Soul and Code Geass, then that choice is quickly made: I choose for Code Geass. Read the rest of this entry »

This time I blame not the internet, but school for not letting me post my daily challenge (let’s say that a paper for Swedish Literature takes a little more time than I had hoped for…) Anyway, I think Natsume Yuujinchou is a perfect example of a so-called “slice of life”. It just focuses on the everyday adventures of a boy called Natsume and his youkai-cat Madara (or should I say Nyanko-sensei?). Read the rest of this entry »

Two days without internet means that I had to interrupt my 30-days challenge. But the problems concerning my internet connection should be fixed, so hopefully it won’t happen again! As for the challenge of today, the saddest anime scene, I choose a scene that is so sad that I am still crying even after having watched it several times.

SPOILER WARNING: this blog post may contain spoilers of the second season of Code Geass. You have been warned. Read the rest of this entry »

I did not have to think about this for a long time: my favourite anime couple is definitely Jinta and Menma from Ano Hana. They are so adorable together! Even when they were still children they got along very well, and already then they were attracted to each other. These two characters are simply perfect together. Read the rest of this entry »

I started off thinking that this character was actually not annoying at all. On the contrary: I pitied him and hoped that everything would turn out alright for him. But soon this sympathy changed into feeling annoyed because of his ignorance and his personality. I’m talking about Ganta from Deadman Wonderland. Read the rest of this entry »
