Even long before I thought of watching this anime, I came across pictures and fan-art of D.Gray-Man. It is, after all, a pretty popular series; no one can deny that. On the one hand I think that its popularity is completely justified, but on the other hand the series let me down a number of times as well. Generally speaking, though, I enjoyed this series. There are quite a lot of anime villains that I like. Well, maybe “like” is not the most adequate word; perhaps it’s better to say that there are a lot of anime villains that are portrayed in an interesting way. The villain that I think is the most interesting is Darcia from Wolf’s Rain.

SPOILER WARNING: this blog post may contain spoilers of Wolf’s Rain. You have been warned. Read the rest of this entry »

I immediately thought of Natsume Yuujinchou when reading today’s anime challenge, and I know, I’ve been talking a lot about this anime in this challenge, but I can’t help that I like so many aspects about it! Maybe Natsume Yuujinchou is not a shoujo anime in the strict sense of the word, but I definitely think that this anime is aimed more at girls than at boys. Read the rest of this entry »

Generally speaking, I don’t like tsundere characters. Ferris from Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu is an exception to this, though. I won’t claim she’s my favourite character of all times, but strangely enough she never really annoyed me, and sometimes she was even very funny. And all that while she’s as stereotypical as a tsundere gets. Read the rest of this entry »

I know a lot of people who would disagree with me on this part, because many people seem to love Spirited Away the most. I, on the other hand, have another Ghibli favourite, marked by some strong competition of another Ghibli movie. First place goes to Howl’s Moving Castle, and as an honourable second place is for Princess Mononoke. Read the rest of this entry »

I’m halfway the 30 day challenge, and I must say that this is a tricky challenge. There is such a great number anime soundtracks that I love, and often it depends on my mood. But if I’d have to evaluate an anime soundtrack as a whole, and not just a couple of lovely tracks, I choose for the Fairy Tail soundtrack, because it is of a consistently high standard and it is at the same time very recognizable. It’s been a while since I’ve last had an anime wallpaper on my computer, because I usually have either an abstract wallpaper or a HDR-photograph as wallpaper. Now I have a wallpaper of the K-Drama which I am watching now, which is Iljimae. I think the last wallpaper from an anime I had was from Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles. Read the rest of this entry »

This time I blame not the internet, but school for not letting me post my daily challenge (let’s say that a paper for Swedish Literature takes a little more time than I had hoped for…) Anyway, I think Natsume Yuujinchou is a perfect example of a so-called “slice of life”. It just focuses on the everyday adventures of a boy called Natsume and his youkai-cat Madara (or should I say Nyanko-sensei?). Read the rest of this entry »

I’m very sure about this: I definitely choose Natsume from the Natsume Yuujinchou franchise. I think he is a great character with a lot of complexity and depth. He’s very loyal (to both his friends and his foster parents) and he wants to do everything in his power to make the world a better place for everyone. Read the rest of this entry »

My favourite anime – that has to be Wolf’s Rain! I loved this anime from the first second to the last. Despite the fact that it seems to be popular, I still think that Wolf’s Rain is underestimated by most people. It was the second anime that I watched, and I’ve re-watched it two times now.
