Even long before I thought of watching this anime, I came across pictures and fan-art of D.Gray-Man. It is, after all, a pretty popular series; no one can deny that. On the one hand I think that its popularity is completely justified, but on the other hand the series let me down a number of times as well. Generally speaking, though, I enjoyed this series. I’ve already briefly mentioned this one in this post, but because I really want you to watch the actual video, I chose this as the next opening theme to talk about. I hope this will encourage you to give the anime a chance, because even though some of you might not like it, there will be some that do! Read the rest of this entry »

Imagine you wake up in Washington, with no clothes, but you do possess a gun and a cellphone. You don’t remember who you are, where you came from and what happened before that moment. What will you do? Akira knows the answer to that: ask a random guy for his pants and after that, find out about your past! Read the rest of this entry »

This is basically a new part of my anime blog: every week I will introduce an anime opening or ending. I hope that some of you may find new anime they like this way, because in my opinion opening and ending themes are a very good way of getting a first impression of a series. The first opening I will post here is the opening of Wolf’s Rain. Read the rest of this entry »

With a plot that sounded interesting, this anime grabbed my attention long before it even started to air. I love books and reading, so I was happy to see that this would be incorporated in an anime. The promotional poster made it look like it was going to be a gothic-like, dark anime, and let’s say it at least tried to be that. Read the rest of this entry »

One day, someone thought: “Hey, I’ll write a light novel that confuses my readers!” And that’s how Durarara was born. Well, that’s probably not how it went, but in my mind it did go this way. That’s a fun question, but a hard one to answer. Because there are so many characters I’d like to cosplay! Especially the unique-looking ones, because it would just be too boring to cosplay a character that looks like a “normal” person, right? Anyway, if I have to choose one character, then I’d say… Grell Sutcliff! Read the rest of this entry »

I always watch anime in Japanese with English subtitles, so I don’t have a lot of experience in the field of English dubbed anime… However, when I was looking for episodes for Utawarerumono, it was extremely hard to find Japanese audio with English subs. The situation became even so bad that I had to watch two episodes with English dub (the horror!). Read the rest of this entry »

This was… unexpected. Really? Favourite pokemon? It’s been ages since I’ve last seen an episode of Pokemon, let alone that I’d remember every single pokemon that has appeared in that series. I do have a younger brother that used to collect pokecards, though, but still… Oh ok, I admit it, my favourite pokemon is ArcanineRead the rest of this entry »

I know you are thinking by now, “gosh, here she goes again, mentioning Ano Hana”. But I can’t help it, because in this category as well, favourite anime opening theme song, I have to admit that Ano Hana’s opening was the best I’ve seen and heard so far. An honourable mention, though, must be give to Romeo x Juliet, because I immensely enjoyed the opening theme of this anime as well, both the visuals and the song. Read the rest of this entry »
