I’ve never really like those harem anime series where several girls cling to a male character in order to catch his attention. Reverse harem, however, is a whole different matter to me; I guess being a girl makes it more pleasant to watch reverse harem instead of the regular harem. The reverse harem series I enjoyed watching the most is definitely Ouran High School Host Club. Read the rest of this entry »

It was hard for me to come up with an anime that would have an older male audience as its main target group. That’s why I had to cheat a little and check the tags on MyAnimeList. My favourite anime from the ones that had the seinen-tag is Arakawa Under the Bridge, a rather unconventional and hilarious anime. Read the rest of this entry »

There are only a few anime that I’ve seen so far that truly fit into the category of a ‘shounen’ anime, which means that its main audience is boys. My personal favourite of those is Katekyo Hitman Reborn. Even though it was rather predictable, I enjoyed all 203 episodes of this anime. And believe me, Katekyo Hitman Reborn is a real shounen anime, with action and long-lasting fights. Read the rest of this entry »

Again I’m a few days late with this entry, which is partly because I’m leaving for Finland in less than a week (yay!) and also partly because I had to think about this challenge. I think yandere characters are way harder to recognize than tsundere characters for some odd reason. It’s hard to find a character that completely fits the description of a yandere. Actually, I’d even go as far as saying that Bianchi from Katekyo Hitman Reborn is the only yandere I can think of right now. Read the rest of this entry »

I’m halfway the 30 day challenge, and I must say that this is a tricky challenge. There is such a great number anime soundtracks that I love, and often it depends on my mood. But if I’d have to evaluate an anime soundtrack as a whole, and not just a couple of lovely tracks, I choose for the Fairy Tail soundtrack, because it is of a consistently high standard and it is at the same time very recognizable. I’m not really ashamed of any of the anime I’ve seen so far, but if I had to choose one, I guess it would be World Destruction. Why I am slightly ashamed of it? Because it’s basically your stereotypical adaptation of a game to an anime, and in terms of story it’s actually rather bad… And you know, the title is not that attractive either… But I still enjoyed it anyway. This anime had everything to turn into an interesting series. We have the mysterious man, who has forgotten his past. We have the loyal friend, who is willing to make sacrifices to help the people around him. We have the villain, who wants to destroy things that are precious to the main character. But somehow I was expecting something different, I think. Because to me this anime ended up being boring and very tiring. Read the rest of this entry »

The best way to describe this anime is that it is an emotional rollercoaster. I’ve found myself (almost) rolling over the floor from laughter, but a few episodes later I could be crying my eyes out (and not from laughter this time). The randomness is what makes this series special, and it can turn the dullest events into hilarious arcs. Read the rest of this entry »
